A lady that worked at JCPenney's had made something similar to this and I loved it. After my car radiator exploded on me & I was recooperating at home. I went thru all our old jewelry, my Aunt Pearl's jewelry as well as a place nearby that sold me bits and pieces of stuff. I can't remember how long it took me to make it. I was working on it when Don and I were dating. After it was framed, I was taking it to friend's houses to show them until I saw where the black velvet material inside might come undone, I hung it up for good. This is another heirloom. It hangs in my parent's living room. Everyone notices it and comments on it.
