Thankful Thursday 4/10/08 (Updated)

Today I am thankful for yesterday because we "celebrated" our 14th anniversary! So I am very thankful for my husband who puts up with me!

On the day prior to our anniversary, Don gave me money to buy specific things at Kohl's which I could live with. How cool was that? First I got him the turquoise shirt I'd been eyeballing on a torso manniquin for awhile at JCPenney's. My friend Jimmy sold it to me. I got Don THE perfect card at Big Lots as if stopping there was meant to be. I love it when that happens. I tried on almost every black bra at Kohl's with the exception of the larger 40 DD's and on up! LOL I was only supposed to take in 5 bras at a time, but I had an armful that covered the stool twice over inside the dressing room. Out of all of them, I found one made my Maidenform that had to have been made just for me as it molded perfectly and is comfy too. Don doesn't understand that this is very important. You can't go by looks. The bra was on sale so I was able to buy a new blouse too and had some change left over so I was very, very happy. It doesn't take much for me. Tell me I am not a good shopper.

I wore my new "things" yesterday which made me feel good. I asked Don if we were going out anywhere and he said no because it was work days for both of us; we'd just wait until the weekend. I put in my request to go to Bass Pro Shop - to EAT!!! He has to work at the chuch early Saturday morning, but said we could do that afterwards.

We all went to church. There was another couple who shares our same anniversary date. Jeff stood up at the end of service to ask for prayers on Diane's behalf since she has been married to him for 30 years. It was funny. Maybe I will do that when we reach that point. I'd asked Diane if they would like to come with us to Bass Pro on Saurday.

After the service, we went to the Krystal of all places! It was fine with me because I got chillip pups and was craving hot dogs. We took the food home so we could watch "Criminal Minds". Really Exciting, huh? I guess going to the Krystal on your anniversary means the honeymoon is over. Not hardly! LOL

P.S.
Also I discovered an neat new web site today thanks to my Stampin' Up friend Claudia. I have mentioned her blog in a previous post.

You can find out which CSI character you are, your email personality and your true color. I learned the hard way, you can answer the questions, but you don't have to do the visa card thing. After you've answered the questions, just click on the red button in the upper right hand corner & your answers should come up. They don't link to a url though.

I am... Sara Sidle which isn't such a bad thing because she and Grissom hit it off until she couldn't take it anymore! It said: "Just like your CSI countpart, you've seen it all, and nothing seems to shake your calm demeanor. You like to play tough, but those who are close to you know that still waters run deep, & you're a real sweetheart inside. Admit it, though you might have a tendency to keep your true feelings under wraps, when you do express yourself people realy see how caring you truly are.

You don't go in for phony sentiments or false kindness - truth is a big deal to you, and you don't often trust people to tell it. Sometimes it's easier to get wrapped up in work" (ART!) "than it is to open up to those who are closest to you. Even though it it's difficult, try to deal with problems when they arise. Running away isn't going to solve anything."

When it comes to email, I am... a Joker. "They say when you laugh, the world laughs with you. If that's the case, then we're all having one giant global chuckle thanks to your funny phrases. We're not sure how you do it, but you seem to have a comedian buried somewhere within.

Between ironic observations, and your gift for gab, your emails probably rise to the top of the list when people see them in their inboxes. Friends probably keep them around as long as they've got space for them. After all, who couldn't use a little levity in the middle of their long workday?"

Horrors! My true color is... BROWN! No, it can't be. Say it isn't so! "You're brown, a credible, stable color that's reminiscent of fine wood, rich leather, and wistful melancholy. Most likely, you're a logical, practical person ruled more by your head than your heart. With your inquisitive mind, and insatiable curiosity, you're probably a great problems solver." (CSI wanna be) "You always gateher all the facts before coming to a timely, informed decision. Easily intrigued, you're constantly finding new ways to challenge your mind," (Bookworm) "whether it's by reading or playing a trivia game (Scrabble Blast). Brown is an impartial, neutral color, which means you tend to see the difference between fact and opinion easily and are open to many points of view. Trustworthy and steady, you are really a brown at heart."

I think I will take it again to see if I am pink. LOL

Today I have been working on another ink art, but it is not really happening for me. I am thinking of calling it "Nothing At All" because it is nothing at all. It does have some repeated patterns such as red hearts. Maybe my heart is just not in it. LOL Maybe I need to try something BROWN!

You're funny. I thought the bra story was a hoot. I understand how it made you feel thankful.

Reading the description for brown - I personally think it is a great color to be :)

Happy belated to you and your beloved. I had to smile about the prayer request of your friend in church - too cute.

Thank you so much for sharing your grateful heart with us this past week.

Be blessed today and always.
