Ray of Hope

SKY? You wanted sky.... I've got sky! LOL No pink flowers like last week.

Yesterday morning as I was taking my 9 year old son Rhett to school, we both noticed the clouds covering the sun at the same time. He noticed the sun's rays coming through the cloud forming a multitude of sunbeams in differing directions. He said, "a ray of hope" which I thought was an excellant idea coming from a child of his age. I was very proud of him for thinking those thoughts and sharing them with me. It shows his optomism which he gets from me, naturally. Unfortunetly, my camera was in my purse on the back seat where I could not reach for it so it was a missed shot.

But not to disappoint... later there were still clouds abounding when I got off work yesterday. I stopped at McDonald's to get an ice cream cone, knowing I would have a wide open access to these clouds in the unending sky. I took several trying to capture "a ray of hope" as Rhett so aptly put it which I think I did successfully here. So I dedicate this post to my son Rhett for his sweet inspiration yesterday into today.

Now these clouds were not as threatening as they appear here.

Today was beautiful as I walked outside to go to lunch. I just wanted to lift my face up to the white fluffy cloud filled baby blue sky and warm sunshine shining down on me, spread my arms out and soak it all in, but knowing there was a camera watching, I refrained. Still I feel as if I actually did it on the inside of my soul.

May you have a ray of hope today, tomorrow and always... May you be a ray of hope to someone. Have a great weekend.

P. S. I let Rhett read this post on Saturday. He was smiling as he read it while slipping into an English accent, reading your kind comments aloud to me. So cute. Just had to share that too.

Like Tom said, Rhett is worth the credit.
So tell him he made it well.
And that certainly looks like a ray of hope!
