Odd House

I started to use an old tree shot for Odd Shots Monday today since I did not come across anything really odd over the weekend.

We rented "Alvin & the Chipmunks" and I was returning it this morning on my way to work. As I was pulling out of the parking lot, I saw and odd-shaped chimney and remembered there was a very odd-shaped house in the Wynnton area of Columbus, Georgia since some of you have asked where I am. I started to drive on by since I was running later than usual because I stopped for gas. Then I remembered Odd Shots and turned around in another parking lot. I took back roads, parked in a dentist's parking lot. I guess you could say I had a thing for parking lots today! LOL I parked, got out with my trusty camera I don't leave home without now and took three shots. It sounds like I shot a gun. LOL I was getting mostly the tower part, but I wanted the entire house to be seen. I took this last shot as I walked back to my car. It was overcast so it is kind of dark and I rarely turn my flash on now. The dentist had large windows I could see in so I know they could see this crazy lady with a camera if they glanced outside, but they seemed to busy. Maybe I'll take one of the for next time... I had to work for this one but I made it to work just on time.

I'll try to take another view of the house later....

That is a really odd building. It looks like a camel -- you know--designed by a committee! But actually, I wonder how it started out and who added the odd bits. It would be intersting to know the history.

Well, I am glad you all liked the odd house. Paulie, I am thinking it is the chimney but I am not sure.Yes, Katney, it would be nice to know the history behind it & Lilli & Nevada, I too would love to see the inside. When I die, I am going to come back to Columbus and have a look see thru all the houses! LOL
