G is for....

The Guys

Well, last week when I was thinking of my G is for... words for ABC Wednesday, I first thought of grandparents. I was going to put my own grandparents on here. The Graddy's. But that would have required finding old photos and taking pictures of them. Also I thought of Rhett's grandparents. I have plenty of those especially his two grandma's taken this year but the G words sort of just came at me as we headed to Indiana. (Please read my previous posts about our exciting trip.) First I saw the hopeful bumper sticker "GOT HOPE" which I really liked. I hope it gives everyone who sees it hope.

We stopped at Gander Mountain in Bowling Green, KY for the 2nd time this year. It was not open when we arrived which was why I took the shot as we waited. I got a pink t-shirt on sale for less than $5 which is always a good thing. I wore it home. I have not taken a photo of it, but it is cute and has birds on it which was the last thing I drew. I seem to be into birds lately. Grander Mountain stores are sort of like Bass Pro Shops without a restaurant in case you were curious.

As I uploaded ALL my pictures from our trip yesterday, I realized I had a picture of the guys. Austin, our step-grandson celebrated his 10th birthday along with our granddaughter Shelby even though his birthday is a little bit later this month. He got a set of drums. We were there when they were purchased and helped load them in the Durango. I carried the big symbol which I did not realize was so thick and heavy. I love Rhett's expression in this one. They were all trying to act like tough guys.

Then there is Gunner Nelson who I wrote about in the previous post. Bet no one else has this one! I am rather proud of my G words for this go round. Hope you had as grand a time as I did finding your's. If you would like to participate in G is for... which is apart of ABC Wednesday, please go to the following...

Gee you had a lot of 'g's in your post! I used to live near Bowling Green KY but the Gander Mountain hadn't arrived yet. Sounds like fun!

Thanks, Tommy V. Well, the drum set is for Austin, our step-grandson who lives in Indy so it won't affect us, Runee. LOL Great to hear from you Kim from Hiraeth! I'll be visiting your blogs soon...
