Odd Reflection

Posted by Picasa

Well, Odd Shots did not just pop up at me this week like they did the past couple of weeks so I had to back and search for an older Odd Shot. This is not one of my best Odd Shot, but it will have to do for now. I took this one inside a popular eatery called the Speakeasy. They are famous for their camel rider sandwiches on warm pita bread and you pour Italian dressing on the cold cut meat, cheese, lettuce and tomatoes. Did I make you hungry? The photo was actually taken in the bar part where you place and pick up to-go orders. As I was sitting on the stool waiting for our order while Rhett played video games because he had to be 21 to enter that section, I noticed the mirror and had to snap it. I took it without flash then with flash. The flash totally ruined the effect I saw. It was really dark and I'd sent it out as an email to my friend Mike E last week. He never replied back to that email so I was thinking he couldn't see it or did not care for it. I lightened it up on Picassa and liked it even better. I like the booths in the reflection. They remind me of old timey saloons. Too bad there wasn't a ghost it.

My friend Mike E did send me a smiley face when I re-sent the lighter version of this.

Reflections are nearly always intriguing.

I never thought of taking a mirror reflection -- mine are mostly windows when I do it! I like yours too and it is an add shot!

This is very unusual. Lovely, interesting detail in the mirror!

Thanks. Diane. I agree Katney. Thanks, Paulie. I am always trying to do mirrors but they don't always turn out. Thanks Grayscale. Thank you all for your comments.
