The Leaf

Okay I know what you are thinking... This is just a ordinary yellowed leaf. Nothing odd about it even if it is August 25th, right? It is not the leaf itself that is odd, but the way I captured it... you might just say it fell at me.

As we were pulling out of the driveway to go to church yesterday after a very rainy Saturday thanks to Hurricane Fay, this yellow fellow fell onto our dirty monster truck windshield. You might can see a few raindrops. I heistated for a moment. Then thought what the heck? I mean how many leaves fall on your windshield and stay like that? I know it was still wet which was why it stuck. By the time I got my camera out, which was in my purse beside me, we were at the stop sign at the end of our street. I asked Don to "wait a sec..." as I heard a male grunt and a little boy's long sigh as if to say, "Not again!" Don waited longer than the normal count of three for the stop sign and no cars coming plus one or two secs for me to snap the shot. As we made a left, just a few seconds later the leaf flew off! So if I had not taken it, I would have missed it and regretted it. Now I have no regrets except I forgot to add the new Odd Shots logo.

Good catch and storyline! You can always go back and add the logo so people can find your post easier.

I don't know if you saw my odd shot from a few months ago--a maple seed did the same thing. But it stayed with me all the way home 45 miles and I removed it before setting out the next day.

How about that, Katney! Cool. I'll go back and re-read your post.
