FINALLY FREE!

Sunday were asked to pray for a dear lady at church who is also named Rebecca/Becky. I once told her, "When I grow up, I want to be like you; look like you." She has the most beautiful white hair. She reminds me of my Grandmother Graddy. I immediately came up with an idea but didn't get to work on it til later. I drew a heart with colored pencils on tracing paper. I signed my initials in a blue drawing maker. I can't recall the name brand. The blue stood out so I want to the these words in the same blue pen... "On our hearts and God's too" then place her name across the heart. I haven't measured it but I was thinking of making it into a 5x7 and giving it to her. I have taken photos of the heart itself. Paulie, I haven't had time to upload pics! LOL

Although I have been able to breath this week since I am FINALLY FREE, it feels weird as if there was supposed to be something I should be doing.... but there is nothing! YEAH! I sort of don't know what to do with myself, but I have been able to stop at a few places I have not frequented in awhile. I can only drive so far to so many places without air after work. Running the air makes my car almost overheat. I make one stop then go to mom's and wait awhile for it to cool down before driving home. Don did a few things to the car that helped it somewhat. My car does better in the mornings when it is cooler. It makes me wish we lived in a cooler state. We cannot take my car to be worked on til Saturday. It is funny... it is so hot in the car, but if you go inside a place, their air conditioning almost freezes me. No happy medium. Please pray that my car can be fixed, but it won't cost an arm and a leg. Thank you.

My church friend Nancy and I have been working diligently on the artwork for VBS for the past couple of weeks. Our theme is "A Jungle Journey". The young man who was in charge moved away and it has not been the same this year without him. Someone needs to be in charge. We need to start earlier also. His brother and I sort of tossed out ideas and he was agreeable to my ideas so we went with them. We were the most artistic of the group. Others got carried away with other things like pages and pages of butterflies colored with crayons. Some not to my liking. Why color with crayons when you can paint? Being the perfectionist that I am, I have had to bite my tongue A LOT lately. Then there are those that want to rush to get things done esp when things have yet to be drawn. Those types of people gets on your nerves. You should never rush art. A girrafe we'd drawn was painted a bright yellow (Horrors!) which Nancy & I had to repaint. I did the shadowing. It was near perfection. The majority of our unpainted pieces for our classroom were up on the hallway walls last night. I think Nancy was madder than me about this. I did take the giraffe down because of what we'd already been through with it. I was also very upset because what we worked on last Wednesday night's Bible class was not in the classroom nor could it be found, but it was sworn it was not thrown away. Then were was it? I didn't deal well with a teenage attitude either. I realized once again that I don't work well with others probably because I am used to doing art alone. I work well with my friend Nancy though and I am thankful for this small blessing. Last night when we were putting up a leopard border, some of the two differing pieces fit together so perfectly it was unreal. It just reinforced that it was meant to be. We stayed late and I am still tired today. We still have a lot more to do before Sunday night. Please pray that our VBS will be a success.

I have found jungle looking fake nails to wear on my fingers for our Jungle Journey. I will have to come up with a matching leopard pattern for my toes! LOL Need some brown polish to make the leopard marks. We plan to wear jungle looking attire too. We just won't match or be twins. Nancy and I have so much fun when we do this. We have even begun calling ourselves "Thelma and Louise". Not sure which one is Thelma and which one is Louise although Nancy has called me Louise already! But because I have lighter hair I should be Thelma. I just looked up who's who. Just call me Thelma.

Because of the way my car is acting, I wish there were longer routes with fewer stops, so my car wouldn't overheat. I wish we were like "The Jetsons"... more futuristic so there could be a ramp over the town traffic. It seems I catch every red light in town now. Every time I do, I say "Of course!" I have been saying that a lot lately.

I had a few exasperating moments today. Why do people wait over two years to worry about their time? Why do you have me looking up items on line when you know you are going to send a person to go get it at a store? But at least I had a good lunch today. Wings from Walmart with potato wedges and pineapple for desert. Yummy. I was thankful for this blessing also. What were you thankful for? Please share with us at Iris' place... at the following...

Praying for you, Becky. It has been really busy time for both of us. Thank God for giving us strength! Thanks for your visit and encouragements. It is always so nice to hear from you. I need to try harder to pace myself and be gentle with myself. Do be gentle with yourself too. Take care and have a blessed weekend!

Warm regards,
Nancie

Lynn, I don't think anyone has ever said they love being drawn into my life. Thanks for saying that. It made my day. I am glad you think I am fun. Funny maybe. you know I never thought about putting my hands on the car and praying over it. Thanks for the great idea! Thanks for the hug.
